Cape Town

BITES

La Colombe:
Our favourite fine dining experience in Cape Town. Books up quickly - make your reservations as early as possible!

Chef's Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic
Beautiful views of the Atlantic, and delicious food. Also recommend booking early.

Oranjezicht City Farm
Laid back farmers market. Double check opening times. Local and international bites + coffee, as well as locally produced items to bring back home. Shru is obsessed with the mushroom skewers.

Codfather Seafood and Sushi
The most delicious, fresh seafood. Be prepared for a food coma. In Camps Bay Area so pair it with a post-meal walk on the beach if timings work out.

Blondie
A trendy little Middle Eastern-inspired small plates spot. Great for a casual lunch/dinner + drinks.

Kleinsky's Delicatessen
If you're feeling for something simple. Shru's favourite is the California Bagel (inspired by the California Sushi Roll) - but there are plenty of options for all dietary preferences! Good for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

DRINKS

Publik
Favourite wine bar, and San's regular Friday spot during his Cape Town days. You might actually bump into him while you're there.

Lawns at the Roundhouse
Laidback spot for sunset drinks. The views here are absolutely incredible. Very grassy and hilly - wear comfy shoes.

SIGHTS

Table Mountain
Option to hike it or take a cable car up. Continuous incline so reconsider hiking if you've got knee issues!

Lion's Head
Another hike - easier + quicker than Table Mountain (but there is a small bit where you have to climb vertically... mildly scary but we know we've got daredevils in this group who've done far more).

Kirstenbosch Gardens
Botanical gardens. Ticketed. Diverse flora indigenous to South Africa against a stunning mountain backdrop. Shru loves this place!

Robben Island
Nelson Mandela's prison cell.

Boulders Beach (Penguins!)
This is the famous penguin beach you see pics of all over Insta! The drive there - Chapman's Peak Drive - is one to remember. (Do not recommend Ubering - rent a car or a driver for the day).

Franschhoek

THINGS TO DO

Wine Tram
A fun, safe, and stress-free way to explore the valley's wine estates without needing a designated driver! Highly recommend NOT going the day before the wedding (you will struggle during the wedding days if you do), and instead saving this for after the wedding days if you are sticking around the region for another day.

Lots of lines to choose from - we like the Orange Line. Don't miss Babylonstoren!
